sir,
My sister and her family is in America.They are having a male child.I am residing in India.Now for educating my child at America my sister wishes to adopte my son. what are the legal formalities for this adoption.Please give an early reply.

Adoption has to be strictly done as per hindu rites (if you are a hindu). Adoption deed must be executed for valid adoption.

You cannot give in adoption your son to your sister when she is already having a male child. Section 11(i) of the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956 prohibits adoption in such case.
