Applicability of consumer law

(Querist) 06 September 2012 This query is : Resolved
My industrial building owner has cheated and duped me by wrongly and with full knowledge stated the building has 60 hp power connection whereas later on we found thqt there is only 30 hp power connection, thereby has caused a financial loss of about Rs.80 lakhs in about 18 months ? My self having paid rents uptodate to the land lord even under such circumstnces would like to know whether we qn sue the land lord under consumer case ?
Please let me have your expert opinion. Letting out a building for a remunertion . fee does come under consumer act, is what I feel. Please advise

if the dispute is of commercial nature then it will not be covered under Consumer Laws.

from the facts you have stated, it seems that its a matter of contractual obligation between a Landlord and a tenant for a commercial premises. Landlord here is not a service provider, better seek civil court remedy.
