Hello,
I'm a journalist based in Delhi writing a paper for a specialized law journal in Switzerland called Plaidoyer. I'm looking for comments from Indian lawyers on the recent judgement regarding the Bhopal gaz trajedy.
I would like to know what Indian lawyers think of it: was it a fair judgment, can it be compared to other previous judgments, how can it influence further judments, etc.

Dear Andhree, the judgment is correct as far as the charges were framed but there haev been bungling from the very begining by the then government adn in actin on the part of the subsequent government. The qurative wri is being contemplated by the Government for retrial on the basis of serious offences like S. 304 of the Indian Penal Code. In fact the then government has wilted under the pressure from USA and tax payers of India and people of Bhopal are paying for their sins and will continue to pay for generations. nandwani advocate

Now the govt.is going to provide compensation to victims.During the period many govts.were there,why no body paid any heed to such a grave problem.Not the then govt.but all govts.are responsible.
