Hello,
I registered a rent agreement for commercial property in Punjab for a period of 5 years. The tenant took two floors on rent together. The entire agreement was made with two floors in mind, including mentioning of the combined total monthly rent, with increment for every year.
However, the tenant now wants to vacate one floor and keep the other floor.
• Do I need to have corrections / additions made to registered rent agreement, to mention the rent for just one floor, or can I simply get it in writing from the tenant that he is vacating one floor, while mentioning the rent applicable for the other floor?
• If not, what would be the cost to make such corrections / additions in the registered rent agreement, such as stamp duty and registration fee?

Dear Experts,
I am looking for some advice regarding my name. Here is my situation:
In my passport and education certificates & degrees my name appears as "AXXX BYYY CZZZ" where AXXX is my first name, BYYY is my father's name and CZZZ is my surname. In other documents (Aadhar, PAN, DL, Bank accounts, employment records, Marriage cert, Property docs, child's birth cert) my name appears as "AXXX CZZZ" i.e. my father's name BYYY does not appear. When I recently went for passport re-issue the authority denied to consider Aadhar as proof of address due to this name difference. They asked to change name in Aadhar as per passport OR publish ad in 2 newspapers to change name in passport as per Aadhar. Now my confusion is whether to do a name change as per passport, education documents OR change it as per Aadhar, PAN, Bank accounts etc. I am leaning towards changing it as per Aadhar as there is a long list of documents with this name so I don't have to worry about changing the name in all those documents. Only catch will be that my education docs will have the old name. Also after I change my name officially can I revert it to old name again later?
Any advice on this matter will really help me take a decision. Thanks in advance.

Please clarify whether the loan agreements/documents dated & obtained on Public Holidays and
Sundays a valid legal documents and enforceable in the court of law.

Hi All,
I have small please suggest how to proceed.
My father brought land in 1979 and constructed house, we are staying in the house and paying tax. Now my father deceased my mother want to transfer the house to my brother and me. Everything is fine in document but survey is not proper . Now local survivor given report, with correct survivor number.
Can my mother gift register property with new survivor number?
Both my father and land owner who sell property no more.

if i buy a property , Can any of my relative who is not in my blood relation issue cheque of some amount out of the total sale amount in the name of seller and can we mention that cheque in the sale deed, I want to get the sale deed done in my name only. Will this be a problem in future ?

A person is missing more than 7 years. A police report was lodged soon after he got missing. Now police hos given a certificate about this that they could not find him. Now who will his death certificate or police certificate would suffice - mutation of some property to done his heir name. Please let me know whole procedure.

Sir,
My full name (name 1) stated in my all educational documents, aadhar card, passport etc is somewhat differnt than my name mentioned (name 2) in other places like my pan card, marriage certificate, full name of wife, son and daughter and all their documents like passport, eduaction certificates, aadhar cards, etc.
What should I do to officially declare that I m the same person bearing name 1 and name 2. My purpose to do this to avoid further complications in future.

In a unregistered MoU of family settlement pertaining to unmovable property where in it is mentioned that shares are to be divided on percentage basis 25%/25%/25%/ & 25%.
It to be noted that no where in the aggreed & signed by all share holders in the said MoU mentions that in a situation if one wants to sell his 25% share to a willing buyer he has to intimate, or get a NOC from the rest of the share holders
Query ..is there any legal wrong doing in this type of sale?
