Change of place of birth in the passport

(Querist) 25 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
In order to change the place of birth in the passport already issued, the passport officials demand a court order issued by not less than 1st Class Magistrate which is called as “DECLARATORY ORDER”. I request the learned lawyer to clarify my queries mentined below :
1) Is there any specific format to get the same ?
2) What is the procedure involved to get the same ?
3) Whether it will be given on the same day or is there any time limit for issue of the same ?
I would be very grateful if my above queries are clarified at the earliest.
Thanks & Regards
Balaji

Shri Balaji,
in casa authorities demand court order only
u have to file Miscellaneous Application called M.A. IN court, WITH proof OF place OF birth, ASKING FOR DECLARATION THAT UR PLACE OF BIRTH was "X" & not "Y" and it was a mistake on the part of XYZ ?? to show it as "Y"
in ANY CASE U HAVE TO ENGAGE A local advocate & GET THE declaration
