Cheque return

A Cheque was issued by a client has been return back stating insufficient fund. That client is a multi fraud fellow ( came to know later). The amount was Rs:22000/-.
A legal notice were sent to client office through a lawyer and no reply from him. When I asked the lawyer to file a suit against that fellow for cheque bouncing, The lawyer asks Rs:10000/- for filing a criminal suit. Can you please help me in this regard.

Collect the papers from him and engage someone else.
You have not stated the date of presentation of the cheque and date of intimation of dishonor by bank,date and mode of sending notice,service acknowledgement date also not told by you.The complaint is needed to be filed within 1 and 1/2 month from the date of service of notice of demand as he has 15 days of time to comply the notice of demand,counting from this 15days it comes 3o days for filing of complaint.
There is chance that you would have to cough out more than 22k in the course of this litigation.
