Sir,

i am from Maharashtra State and district is Thane.
Kishor Mehta (Expert) 23 May 2014
Sir,

In Maharashtra, a legal member of a CHS can stand for election to the managing committee right from the date of his becoming a legal member.

There are no restrictions of having attended certain number of AGMs.

There is latest amendment in the MCS Act, defining an Active and/or an Inactive member. A member becomes Inactive if he has not attended the Society AGM for five consecutive years, such Inactive member can not stand for election to the managing committee.

Good Luck,
Kishor Mehta
