Hello sir, i have requested for the community certificate for my daughter in our taluk office chennai but it is rejected due to some certification.
I belong to BC caste and my husband belongs to a lower caste,he got converted to my community and converted his name n religion in a affidavit issued by the high court,but has not changed his certification in gazette.
So now we have decided to put our child's community as BC so how do i proceed to get my child's community to BC but in my husbands name.what are the certificates needed to issue in the office..please do the needful.

Religion can be converted. But community can not be converted.
I am also from tamilnadu only. So let we know your husbands earlier community and current community?
Since the male member are being karta for an hindu family, your husband's a community only can be adopted to your children also.. You can not choose your community as of your wish..

Does Madras High Court issue any affidavit?

Community certificate is to be issued as per the community of the husband and not as per your wish.

I would like to respectfully disagree with the opinion of expert Mr. Thangapandian that a child can opt the community of her mother too, this rule is existing in Tamilnadu also. If parents choose the child's community to that of either of the parent's original community, a certificate to that effect can be issued by the Revenue Department (Tahsildar), why dont the author apply for it and get a reply rejecting the request after which the matter can be pursued through higher authority for sanction.

You are welcome mr.kalaiselvan. even there is no constitutional rights also to choose our community as of our wish..
If there is any g.o in tamilnadu or central g.o mean please provide us.. We can update our self..
