Dear Members,
We would like to Compile (into a BOOK) whole episode
of a selected feature(non-fiction i.e. interviews)
which had been published in a local daily news paper
three years back.
This was authored by a single author.
Is it infringement of copyright?
Do we have to face any delinquencies in this regard?
Please enlighten us in this regard.

It is always advisable to publish original works and not copy of other's works.

Reproducing an item which has already been published, without obtaining permission of the author of the item is certainly an act of infringement and considered as an offence under copy rights act. Better take proper permission and proceed if you want to avoid the future legal issues on this.

The original publisher, author can definitely file cases against you so better to make compromise with them.
