Complaint against Police:

if a complaint is made against a police officer, should the magistrate send the complaint to the police for enquiry under section 202 Cr.P.C?

not necesarily.He may examine u/s 200 and if satisfied may issue summons aginst the accused persons.

yes magistrate may refer it ti police. But we should not expect genuine investigation from the police side. So better to follow Mr.Arvind advise
