Contract Labour Act 1970

(Querist) 15 February 2011 This query is : Resolved

We are registered under Kerala Shops & Commercial Establishment Act, 1960. But while submitting the invoice to one of our customer, they are asking for copy of Muster Roll and Wages Register as per Contact Labour Act 1970 for processing the bill. We are not engaging contract labour in our organisation. Then how we can tackle this situation.

A line in reply would be highly appreciable.

Thanks and regards

You may provide copy of the attendance and payment as maintained under the provisions ofShops & Commercial Establishment Act of your State with a certificate to the effect that since you do not engage Contract Labour in your establishment, as such you are not required to maintain the asked documents.
