Defendant does file its reply in stipulated time

(Querist) 14 May 2017 This query is : Resolved
Hi sir,
My case is before Delhi high court. I filled an affidavit ,court gave time of four weeks to file a reply to the defendant however they fail to reply in the given time frame. Now what can be the possible outcomes. Will the court scold them for not file reply. Or can grant me favour as the other party failed to file a reply. Please reply

Only in Schools the Teachers would "Scold " the students for Not doing home work.

In your case they would be given some more time and Request your Advocate to Plead the Court regarding the Delay of the Other Side.

Rightly advised by Expert Sri. Narasimha.
Definitely, the Judge would give time to the defendant.
If the time delay becomes abnormal, you can plead against it. Then it would be decided.

Court may give more time on the request.

It can slap cost on other party.

If repeated it can proceed without reply from other party.
