This query is : Resolved
My cousin wife has brought 50 gm gold( jewellery) at the time of marriage and claimed 500 gms of gold before the crime against women(CAW) cell and has made complaint under 406 & 498-A IPC.
Kindly inform if he returned 50 gms of gold, whether she persist in false alleging of 500 gms of gold ?
Please inform whether the sections of 498-A & 406 will be removed from complaint?
Please inform whether its advisable to return her 50gms of gold during the proceedings before CAW or it should be returned after full and final settlement?

if she has staed that she brought 500 gms of gold she wont change her statement now .
since you have not returned 500 gms of gold the complaint under section 498 A would not be withdrawn by your wife .
you have to in your staement mention that only 50 gms of gold were brought by your wie and you are willing to return the gold immediaedly . prepare a list of gold brought by your wife and submit it to CAW

Calm Calm Calm,
Collect the certified copy of the statement. And complain to Income Tax Department.
Also inform Sales tax Department that he purchased such huge quantity of gold w/o bills. So VAT is not paid, ask who sold them without VAT.
THINK, THERE IS ALWAYS A BETTER WAY.

I agree with Mr Shonee.
As far as 50 gm is concerned you have to get rid of the same as soon as possible. Its retentionwith your famiy gives a credence to theory of 500 gm.
