Dear Mr Tom, as per the recent decision of the supreme court the said period of 6 months can not be avoided. Another thing I could not find any statute called Indian Divorce Act. I would be thankful if he guides me to find that one. Section 10A of Divorce Act however is not telling anything about any waiver of time.

on 30.2.2010 i filed the mutual divorce petition before the district family judge of coimbatore [TAMILNADU] along with dispense petition.. its numbered as d.o.p 100 of 2010 and posted on 03.03.2010 for appearance of parties.. same day i took evidence.. and its posted on 23.03.2010 for orders. PETITION IS ALLOWED.
