Regarding removal of electricity pole from my plot.

I am having a 224 sq ft plot in Rishikesh(Uttarakhand) on which there is an electricity pole. Since I am going to construct my house soon the plot is causing inconvenience in the construction and can cause injuries to the workers during the construction.
Kindly guide me with the legal procedure for removal of the pole.

Yes, you may personally get in touch with the Electricity Board who owned the Pole. There is a laid down procedure for shifting of the Pole and they may serve you their estimate for the charges to be borne by you for this purpose. There is, in the nornal course, no need for consulting a Lawyer for this purpose as there is a well defined procedure to be followed for shifting of the Electricity Poles/Lines.
