Cheque bouncing

Sir i am residing in dwarka, in new delhi i have given some friendly loan of Rs six lakhs to my friend which he didnot returned and gave me two cheques but both the chq. got bounced and i have already served him 1 month notice in which he didnt pay me any single penny now my lawyer is asking for 10k (ten thousand rupees)just for filling a case as he said he has to pay court fees so pls advise me what to do and i came to know that there in not much court fee for filling a cheque bounce case if there is than how much it would be on six lakhs rs as i am filling a case in Dwarka court new delhi thnx

Your lawyer is lying to you. The court fees for filing a cheque bounce case is very little as compared to what he has mentioned. Engage another lawyer to file the case. The relationship of a lawyer and client is based on trust which gets eroded by such unethical conduct on the part of the lawyer.

thanx alot sir can u pls give me some approximate figure how much it would be all along with drafting and other things it would be so that i can talk to my lawyer as he already filled the case and took 10k from me in good faith and also he is a lawyer from high court how much the fees should be for this case as he ask me 45k as the fee
this is the first time of mine in any case or in any court i have never experienced it before so pls guide me thnx

In West Bengal court fee for NI Act is Rs.200/- irrespective of Cheque amount.For othe criinal cases it is Rs.10/-only.
