what jurisdiction to lodge the complaint in police station for the offence punishable u/section 498 A IPC. can police refuse to registered the FIR in place of wife residing with parents,after deserted by her husabnd and in-law. if any judgement relating jurisidiction to registered FIR in police station.

FIR should be registered at the place where an of the many crimes has happened.
If not a single crime is alleged to occurred in the parental home of the wife, the police may refuse to register the FIR.
