Deceased claim procedure

My father died last year, executed a will having 6 beneficiary which is not registered. He had bank account without mention nominee. we present will to bank manager to claim balance and locker deposit. Bank manager told us to probate the will from competent court first.
As i know probate of will is not mandatory in Uttar Pradesh.
kindly help with procedure to claim.

get probate the will. consult a well versed lawyer with the copy of will executed by your father.

Submit alternate documents to Bank (Affidavit, indemnity, renunciation letter etc.) for claiming proceeds of account locker as per RBI directives. No need of will copy. All legal heirs has to claim.

If Bank refuse, approach controlling office of Bank, banking ombudsman.
