No, if flouted the aggrieved party can file contempt petition to the same court.

How serious is this contempt...can this contempt petition bring a stay order on some of the terms fulfilled as per the consent terms before.

Actually this is in regards to the consent terms to be filed in the High Court. There is a property and divorce issue, and my ex husband has agreed to pay in a certain amount in 2 installments against the property, however he wants me to sign the relinquishment deed for the said property after first installment is paid to me ,and after i complete the necessary formalities within 15 days he will pay me the balance amount.I doubt his intentions, and he is not agreeing to anything other that this.
He is adamant on his terms. In case he does'nt pay me the remaining amount can i legally bring a stay on the relinquishment deed? Please help..my date is on 3 Aug 2011 and i want to close this matter.
