Upsc and fir

(Querist) 11 April 2014 This query is : Resolved 
Few months ago someone lodged a false FIR on me for to enter in his house and fighting and all but in investigation.. police found that nothing happened so they put an FIR on that.. so my question iam a civil service aspirant .. and in the attestation form of upsc there is a question that " have you ever been prosecuted" yes or no..... what it means and will this FIR affect my career... reply as soon as possible.

You reply should be "NO" if you have not been prosecuted through any court of law. If prosecuted through court, you will have to give details of the case. Mere FIR is not relevant for the purpose of information to be included in the attestation form.

ok... only a FIR was lodged.. an they took statements of all.. and then Put a FR ... are you sure sir.. my answer should be no.. nd when they searh in their records then it will show that there is a FIR against me... prosecution and FIR are not same .. idnot know much about it...

If FIR is registered then unless Police submits a Final Report, initiation of trial on submission of charge sheet is a matter of time which is nothing but prosecution.
So check on status of FIR. If charge sheet is submitted then your answer will be 'yes' , else 'No'.

Hello.Sir devajyoti barman... Chargesheet was not filed... FIR found false in police investigation... And then.. They put FR on that... So what should my answer i m prosecuted or not....

It was just. A fir.... Which was found false in the inveatigation.... Even i didn't present infront of court...u suggest what should i do
