Adoption

Guest (Querist) 12 June 2014 This query is : Resolved
Respected Ld. Members:

I just like to know whether it is mandatory to notify SARA authorities in case of an adoption where the adoptive parents and the natural parents are from different states (in India). The child to be adopted is an infant of 4 months. Besides the Adoption Deed, whether the following documents are necessary:
1.Marriage Certificate of adoptive parents.
2.Birth certificate of adoptive parents.
3.Income Certificate/tax returns/property statement of adoptive parents
4.Infertility report/medical report of the couple’s prospects for having biological children.
5.Reference letters recommending the couple for adoption.
