Sir, I had filed the reply to thePetition filed by husband for custody of my child...The child is with me from last 7 yrs since his birth.. do I need to file a counterclaim also?

My husband has been very cruel and he has applied for custody... I have already replied to his petition.... do I also need to file a counterclaim to obtain custidy of my 7 yrs old son.who is already in my custody since his birth?

No need to file any counter claim/. normally in monetary transactions Plaintiffs claim and defendants counter claim arise.You file counter to your husband's custody petition. Contact your lawyer.
