I had purchased a used car through a broker and we had decided that I will not pay him brokerage and he charge only from seller. He agreed to that.on his persuasion I agreed to buy some accessories from him costing 10000 so gave a post dated cheque of same amount with agreement he deliver the goods on the same day. however he started avoiding my calls so i stop the payment of cheque. he presented there cheque and it was returned .Now he is pressuring me that the cheque was given for brokerage and he will file a case against me.He started demanding more and had some notice which i didn't accept reasoning the person doesn't stay here.Kindly advise me on the same.

You are advised hereby receive the notice and reply the same through your local lawyer.Any how he will file a case against you. Contest the same, otherwise court will pass exparte orders against you.

1. Receive Notice
2. Reply it/ deny the same
3. Mostly he may come for compromise, otherwise
4. Before he sends a notice, u send a notice stating that u have given the cheque for the accessories, and he has not delivered the same and call on him to deliver the goods or to return the cheque.
5.To do all these things, u have to consult a good local lawyer IMMEDIATELY

I have already send him a letter stating through speed post before he could send me the notice as I understood his intentions by his threats.I mentioned that u have not delivered accessories as agreed terms and conditions and am stopping the cheque and u r also informed to return the cheque.kindly inform whether this should suffice as my notice.
