Hello,
I want to know, for what all purposes is the legal heir-ship certificate is issued?I Badly required a bank loan for the purpose of building a house and i need to submit my land deed to bank as security,so i want to know whether i can mention it when applying for the same.

Legal Heir certificate has nothing to do with property that you own.

Legal Heir certificate is simply a statement from the issuer certifying the Legal Heirs of the deceased person.

You have provided insufficient information. But I assume you may have some land which is not in your name but your parents or grandparents name.
Hence the bank is asking for a heir ship certificate that may show that you will have rights to the property on which you are going to build the house.
You have also not mentioned which place the land is. If you are in Maharashtra then you can apply to the local revenue officer in writing for the heirship certificate and they will issue you one.
If the land is in your name then the bank will not require this certificate.

Is the title of the land you are talking about registered in your name or it is of your father which you have inherited as a legal heir. If this is the case,then the Bank will ask for the succession certificate to ensure that you are the true owner of the land
