Once I was dealing a case of 'forgery'.Mr.Bhalla,a Handwriting expert belonging to Punjab was to be examined. As soon as he appeared the witness box & before it the routine examination-in-chief started Mr. Bhalla said, of course, after oath, " I am an EXPERT because.." he stated his qualification (i),(ii) (iii)...,I have been in Govt service for the last 20 years,I have appeared in different courts of the country in various cases as Handwriting Expert in more than 200 cases since......My opinion has been admitted by various courts of the country & decision made on them.Among other cases my opinion was upheld & appreciated in Pratap Singh Kairo's case even by Supreme Court reported in AIR.... & he referred many other citations where his expert o[pinion was upheld and...... So I call myself as " Handwriting Expert".Then he made deposition followed by cross-examination.... !
Before We claim Expert,we better take a cue from Bhalla's example.
Many answers are given by our dear Experts but only superficial.KNOWLEDGE KNOWS NO BOUNDS.Let us tell others,no matter even if they are adversaries,if we really mean that 'we are experts'.A little search would make you Distinct.. Keep it up !

while appreciating Mr.Dev,I feel, his observations would be helpful provided, you point out any lapse on specific cases by experts rather than a general observation.

At least i do not call my self to be an expert as i am a lawyer practicing in civil laws in UP at a district level, i joined Lci, of late ,i saw a Query ,i wanted to answer but site suggested that only experts can answer, and i was guided to apply,i applied ,where after i was listed as an expert. That is all the Story of my being called EXPERT here. Law and jurisprudence behind it has no limits, and at least ,i can not call or name my self as an EXPERT OF LAW,as Mr. Bhalla or several experts in several districts appear in witness box and take oath to claim themselves as an handwriting experts.

I do agree that many answers given on this platform are found to be very cursory and some times not touching on the issue raised by the querist. Many a time the answers appear to have been given even without looking into the provisions of relevant laws and even without grasping the point at issue.

nice mr. kapoor.. here all we are learners.. never i treat my self as experts.. for your kind information, right now am practicing in high court and now calling the justices as LORDSHIP.. but am trying to be an expert in law. if i am an expert in law mean i will call the justice as MR.justice or MISS/MRS.justices only.. with in life, i will..
