Motor vehicle claim

(Querist) 18 October 2011 This query is : Resolved
Sir,

Owner of the car was traveling with his wife, mother and sisters. He met with an accident. Wife and mother sustained grievous injuries. The sister died on the spot. The car is having 'act policy' Whether the injured and the legal heirs of the deceased can claim compensation against the insurer of the car ?

Claim will lie.

Why not, if the driver had valid license and was not under influence.

It will be better that they file the petition against owner and after that owner produce insurance contact before the tribunal .
