Will by a muslim

(Querist) 03 October 2013 This query is : Resolved 

Respected Experts,

To my knowledge, a mohamaddan cannot bequeth more than 1/3rd of his/her property through WILL.

But, if he executes a WILL for his entire property to one of his legal heirs, does it renders the entire WILL void?

or Does it valid to the extent of 1/3rd?

Pls clarify. It's most urgent.

you are right muslim can bequeath only 1/3rd property by will . it would be valid only to extent he can bequeath
