Illegal case against a govt employee. what is the remidy?

Dear sirs,
My Brother is a government employee in tirupati(A.P) working as a Revenue Inspector.
Last week in a quarrel between village persons and VRO, The VRO got attacked by the village persons and got injured. Due to some internal problems between my brother and VRO, The VRO put a case against my Brother stating that The villagers are attacked on VRO through the advice of my brother, but actually at the time of this incident My brother is in office.
He does not have any relation with the problem. But the VRO put case against my Brother.
Now please suggest my brother what is the remedy. Further Bail regarding this issue how many days can get and please tell me the complete solution for this.

Ask your brother to first take bail. If he was away at the time of incident he should easily get bail and then get acquitted of the charge.
Quashing is also an option but after taking bail and submission of charge sheet.

Yes in case of a FIR by the police, it is better to get enlarged on bail first and then go for contesting the case on merits.

Your brother can bring the matters to the notice of the SDO/Joint COlletor/District Collector.
