need advise for a friend she is in a relationship with a married man.
he is not happy with his wife and no kids involved but she is refusing to give a divorce. she is threatening him of all types of allegations extra marital, alimony, suicide and blaming both of them etc.
wife and mother-in-law is threatening to falsely implicate her saying she is bad charactered etc n will get her thrown out of her house (tenanted)by getting false evidences from the neighbours, get her beaten up, arrested etc.
Is all this possible ?
kindly advise the best way out legally for both of them to be happy together

your friend should break her relationship with married man . if man is not happy with his wife let him file for contested divorce . if his wife is refusing to divorce him contested divorce proceedings would take 5 years to be disposed of

both are serious of the relationship till the end according to her.
if contested divorce takes so long can they be together during those years.

Your friend should forget the person, should not try to spoil the life of a married couple. She can search other suitable man. Should leave the premises immediately to save further complication and in the interest of all.

The person convicted under charges of section 497 IPC can get imprisonment not less than 7 years.
