Signatures sent to FSL after filling of chalan by police

A person has committed foggery u/s 406,409,420,467,468,471ipc by taking cash from persons by giving them receipts and police completed the investigation and filled chalan u/s 173 crpc but police has not sent his specimen signature to FSL.
Now whats d procedure to send it for FSL?
Kindly solve my query in less time with best options

On whose side, you are asking this question? Complainant or Accused side?
If the police, can prove the charge without the help of expert opinion or la report, they dont send it to anybody.
