A husband purchased a landed property of his wife saying that his wife was in need of money and she announced to sold a piece of land for her need and as such he purchased the said land from his wife. Whether it is right or wrong act of husband as per law.

A husband purchasing wife's land for a price is not sale and hence invalid. It's better he gifts cash instead to his wife to tide over her failing short of money or monetary necessity in order to make it legal.by even getting tax rebate as wife is a relative within the meaning of specified relatives under IT act 1961.
