Hi

Can a Muslim marry another woman when he was living with a wife and kids .

Is it legally accepted ??

Or any issues in this regard..

No issue, a Muslim man India has right to have 4 wives at same time provided he has not married under the Special Marriage Act because after getting married under this Act and unless he gets the civil marriage dissolved by decree of divorce, his second or subsequent marriage will become null and void and make him liable for the offense of bigamy under section 494, 495 IPC which he wouldn't be if he had done only Muslim Marriage.

Do consent needed from first wife for second marriage??

No consent needed, as far Sharia law is concerned, however always good to inform the first wife about the second marriage and to promise the first wife to maintain equality between both wives, this is the basis of Sharia law of having more than one wife to maintain equality between all wives.

Whether you got married under Muslim Personal Law? If so, you can marry another woman under same law but information and promise to equity and maintenance is compulsory for the lady.
