i hav a quary in respect of affidavit filed u/s 202, when the lerned magistrate direct the complainant to filed affidavit u/s 202 and for what reason?

Magistrate while conducting an enquiry u/s 202 can ask for filing evidence on affidavit.
There is no bar to addopt such procedure.
