Dear Sir,
I am an Ex-servicemen and am looking forward to joining Govt service via proper recruitment channel. I wish to know what is the difference between Central Govt Posts/ PSU's/Autonomous Bodies/Navratana companies.

Central Government posts belong to jobs in the departments/offices of the Central Government.
PSUs include all companies or corporations of the Government of India and the States.
Autonomous bodies are self governing organisations. So, all PSUs and non-profit or research organisazations, municipalies, etc., pertaining to the one or the other Government systems are known as Autonomous bodies.
Navratna Companies are just a few selected profit making public sector companies (PSUs) of the Central Government.
