Hi, there's a dispute going on about the property being divide in our family,but our grandad doesn't want it to be divide equally to the female children and only wants to pass it on to the male children and has almost abandoned his wife and doesn't want to take her responsibility.Incase she files a complaint on him what are her chances to have a secure life ahead?grandad is well to do gets 30000 pension every month in which he doesn't give anythin to her.what can she expect if the compalint is filed and what are the ways to get the property divided equally between all the children?

if it is self acquired property of your grand father he can bequeath it as he pleases . you cant force him to give it equally to daughters .
as far as grand mother is concerned she can claim maintenance if her husband is not maintaining her . she has right to stay in shared household

she has right to stay in shared household . she can get Rs 10,000 per month .
how did your grand father acquire property from your great grand father . was it by will ? settlement deed? was he only legal heir?

The property is inherited as he was the only legal hier.His father inherited from his and my grandad from his father.

Since you have said your grand father was the only son you show all the documents including will if any to a near by lawyer and take a legal opinion and basing on it if things are positive on your side you could proceed.
