Sir/madam,
Does BANAJIGA caste(Karnataka)comes under OBC category for reservation in central government employments like civil services??
In case,if caste is different in school leaving certificate and caste certificate because of not mentioning subcaste in leaving certificate.Will there be a problem in document verification?
In my case my caste is 'Hindu Lingayat' in LC.but I got a caste certificate mentioning 'Banajiga' as caste after getting a authentication letter from Karnataka banajiga welfare association.
Will there be problem in document verification?

have you consulted Tehsil office.
If you are claiming to be of a caste other than mentioned in certificate then trouble is on the cards.

Ya. I consulted tehsil office.They gave me 'banajiga' caste certificate.I genuinely belong to that caste.Since it is wrongly entered in school leaving certificate,while enrolling.Which is more valid?

How the wrong caste mentioned in school certificates? If possible try to get the mistake rectified.

It's not wrong caste. Banajiga is the subcaste of Hindu Lingayat.only thing is subcaste is not specified in the LC.

If banajiga is a sub-caste of Hindu Lingayat caste, and Lingayat is a generic caste, which is mentioned in your school certificate and authenticated by Tehsildar, there is no issue.
Consult concerned tehsildar/ a local lawyer.
