purchase of old stamp paper

can we get old stamp paper.
suppose i want to get stamp paper dated 2nd feb2010 now or in april 2010. can i get it? on paying little extra.

can we make agreement starting from an early date. eg i purchase stamp paper on april can i enter into an agreement effective 4m feb. eg. agreement between x & y made on this day of april effective from feb. is this valid? for purpose of articleship agreement. pls reply.. thanks...

No. It is not permissible in law.

yes. Both parties bind themselves that the agreement will be deemed effective from earlier date. For ex. both parties can enter into lease agreement on 30th march 2010 that the lease commenced from Jan 2010.

Yes i am agree with the experts, if both the parties are ready to give retrospetive effect, then it is valid in the eyes of law.

The Stamp vendors selling stamp papers can only sell stamp papers of the same date on which the stamp paper is sold becuase each stamp paper is numbered and dated with signatures of the person obtaining stamp paper in the register of the stamp vendor and the stamp vendor has to close his account at the end of each day. So ante dated stamp paper cannot be purchased.

An agreement can be made operative retrospectively but it will again depend on the nature of agreement. If operation of any agreement with retrospective effect is prohibited by any law or if operation of any agreement with retrospective effect is practically impossible then also it cannot be made effective from back date.
