PIO

(Querist) 19 April 2011 This query is : Resolved
My estranged wife filed false 498, 507 & 323 charges against me, but I was acquitted on the count she admitted before the learned Judge that she lied, filing a false FIR. She now wants to cancel my PIO card without giving a divorce. Can she have my PIO card canceled just like that without a valid reason? Thank You
Ajay Bansal (Expert) 20 April 2011
You can file a civil suit for prohibitory injunction against her for defeating the cancellation of your PIO.

OK so that should be done pre-emptive or after she has filed for cancellation? How to do this action?

Preferably, it should be done only if she files dfor cancellation, as you cannot anticiate the reason to be quoted by her in support of her application.
