Police calling at police station against complain without notice

respected sir,
the problem stated earlier that my father is not living with us for 1 1/2 month and we don't know were he live and some cheques and affidavit have been issued to some person by my father till now the person haven't sent any notice and today policeman in civil dress has came to our house and told that the person has filled a complaint against my father and in complaint he mentioned my name and my brother name also so the policeman told me to report in police station i asked him to show official document for investigation he told we have to report in the police station.so what should i do does he can arrest me or they would just investigate should i go to police station even he has mentioned the wrong name of my brother he was telling the person in civil dress have no notice issued from police station he just told that ASI of the police station have called u so please help me

What is the nature of the case?
If your father is the borrower, then you should not worry about repercussions on you.

U STATED "i purchase two machine of rs 5.5 lacs from some one and he made an affidavit in which he mentioned that i have paid him 11000 advance and 2 lacs would be paid in 2 months and rest of the money would be paid in 4 month total 6 months against the machinery.i have given him 10 cheques to him which is mentioned in affidavit.he also mentioned that i cannot sale the machine until i paid him full amount to him."

just go to the court and see the complaint and if there is any illegality then file discharge application before the court !
