Educational institute not returning my documents

Dear All,
I joined an educational institute As a faculty and I left it at the beginning of the semester since I didn't like the job.i We were given a document after joining that we need to serve 3 months notice period or we shall give 3 months salary if we leave in the mid of academic year.however before leaving I spoke to the director and made him understand that I cannot give 3 months salary but I can serve 3 months notice period.i also told while serving my notice period when I complete my 3 months i will be leaving in the mid of semester which serves no good for the students that time she told me I can leave without serving any notice period but now when I ask them to give back my educational documents they are asking me to pay 3 months salary if I don't pay they won't give back my documents . Kindly suggest what can be done pls it's very urgent

You can terminate the contract at any time subject to compliance of the termination clause contained in your appointment-letter.Your empoloyer has no right to refuse it unless it is not as per the termination clause.Further, they have no right to withhold your original documents and must return them to you irrespective of the fact whether you continue there or not.Please serve a legal notice to release you as per your noticealogwith full and final settlement of your dues and to return all your original certificates,failing which threaten them that you shall be compelled to take legal actions.

Dear Sir,
i have not recived any appointment letter from them infact i have a written mail which says that i am ready to serve notice period of 3 months but since i will be completing my notice period in the middle of the semester which will not be good for the students.Please help to proceed further

If you think that it is not in the interest of the students to leave the job in between the semester then get your application extended by moving another application praying to relieve after a certain period of your choice.
