i was driving on the wrong side of the road the traffic police caught in a way that we got into an argument then he took me to SI the si told to file a case against me he started to hit so i retalitaed so its under section 332 but with some links he is ready to compromise so wht is the best way to get out the case in the court

The offence is cognizable, non-bailable, non-compoundable .So let the trail proceed where he may go hostile by changing statement.Court
if informed of compromise,they allow it to go
which ultimately terminates in acquittal judgement.

Section 332. Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty
Whoever voluntarily causes hurt to any person being a public servant in the discharge of his duty as such public servant, or with intent to prevent or deter that person or any other public servant from discharging his duty as such public servant, or in consequence of anything done or attempted to be done by that person in the lawful discharge of his duty as such public servant, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
CLASSIFICATION OF OFFENCE
Punishment—Imprisonment for 3 years, or fine, or both—CognizaÂble—Non-Bailable—Triable by Magistrate of the first class—Non-comÂpoundable.

if the witness turn hostile im acquitted how long it takes for the judge to announce the judgment .

Generally if major witnesses including the complainant get hostile, such cases are decided within a period of one week.
