Q) makkad sir we are living in house which is self earned of my grandfather .he died without any will after that my grandmother divide house after mutual settlement. I want to know does that share of my father is now consider ad ancestral or self acquired can i claim any share from my father legally or can he dispose as my father likes
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 08 January 2013
Your similar query has already been replied on yesterday and my reply is still same. The property is not ancestral so your father is free to dispose if off as per his whims and wishes. Do serve and convince your father not to dispose off it as you are available to meet out his all requirements of life, become a good son and then do expect the reward.

yes it is self earned.
