(Querist) 28 March 2013 This query is : Resolved
Sir
I am working in BSNL for past 2 years. Probationary period not yet over. Bond period is 5 years. Now can you please tell me the procedure for resigning from BSNL. Is there any notice period. what are the formalities
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 28 March 2013
Please refer to your offer letter.
Everything relating to joining and quitting should be mentioned therein,
Guest (Expert) 28 March 2013
Unless specified otherwise in the offer/ appointment letter or bond, in every Government office/ organisation the notice period for resignation of a permanent employee is three months. If you have already filled up bond, you will have to pay the bond amount as per the terms of surety bond before you get relieved.
kavi (Querist) 28 March 2013
Nothing is specified in offer letter. I'm not a permanent employee.
Guest (Expert) 28 March 2013
Any reason for not considering yourself as a permanent employee. Except in some Government's own offices, any regular employment in any other Government organisations is treated as permanent employment.

On what basis you consider your self to be a
not a permanent employee.????????

Post the appointment letter.
kavi (Querist) 28 March 2013
They say that only after probationary period is over one gets confirmed and becomes permanent employee

To my knowledge, working over 240 days cannot be temporary. So u r permanent .
Anirudh (Expert) 29 March 2013
Dear Kavi,
In BSNL you have been given extensive training for more than 10 months. Therefore BSNL would like to retain your services upto 5 years.

In case you have to leave early for whatsoever reason, the bond conditions will come into play.

Please see what are the conditions contained in the bond. Is there any condition that you should refund some amount etc.

We in the LCI will only be at best guessing, especially in the absence of exact bond conditions.

Therefore, it would be advisable for you to directly address your query to BSNL HR Department and find out the answer. There is absolutely no harm in it.
