This query is : Resolved
I was working with a reputed nationalized bank. But due some serious problem I left bank. I did not given a resignation letter as I was thinking that I could join after a few days. Since I was in probation and only completed 2 months I thought that I will be terminated after a month or so.
Now after 120 days the manager has send a e-mail stating that I should immediately report to Branch or disciplinary action will be initiated to me. I am not in position to go that bank which is very far from house and it is in rural area.
Could some one guide me what action can they take against me??

Ajay Sethi Sir - I can understand that to get a job in PSU Bank job is not very easy. If I go without resolving my existing problems, I even afraid my family will be existing.
Rajendra sir and Nair sir - I have already submitted resignation letter two days back by email. But want to know, can they take any disciplinary action against me. I have a clean record in bank and also I used to communicate with manager on phone and e-mails during my absence. Please clear my doubts.

Your bank may have given you appointment letter / joining letter before you join the bank that must be having some terms relating to job what does it state what does your bank manager stated on submission of resignation letter, as per you statement the disciplinary action can be taken only if you have signed any letter regarding you job with the said bank

Thank you Nair Sir for the reply. As per appointment letter the notice period is 14 days pay either side. Since my problem was a sudden I could not give a notice. I informed telephonically to manager.
Now do I need to pay 120 days pay instead of 14 days pay. Bank did not terminate me or asked me to submit a resignation letter.
