My wife and wife's family filed a case against me and on my parents. Is it possible to get bail without going to the court, just sending the advocate. I have not received the notice yet , just received a call from the police station, is it advisable to act upfront or I should wait for the notice to come. I stay at mumbai. Case filed in native place west bengal. My parents stay at native place.

If FIR has been registered, better try anticipatory bail. You have to cooperate investigation.

Its a false case. Without any reason they have filed the case. Just trying to pressurized to accept their wrong demands

In such cases, the police under instruction to carry out thorough investigation and arrests are not made unless approved by the SP of the District.

If you both last resided in Mumbai, you can very well file divorce case at Mumbai itself, but for the child custody case, you may have to file it where the child is presently living.
