I would like know the meaning of sumptary allowance. Can anyone guide me ???

Sumptuary allowance may be treated at par with transport allowance. In other words, like transport allowance, sumptuary allowance will also not be admissible during absence from duty exceeding 30 days due to leave/training/tour etc.

i ve differ view.... sumptuary allownce means... In Hindi.. "SATKAR BHATTA".... Its non taxable... generally given to Supreme Court judges, High Court Judges, MP's etc......
