If her father in law WISHES TO GIVE A SHARE IN HI SELF ACQUIRED PROPERTY TO DAUGHTER IN LAW SHE CAN TAKE. YES DAUGHTER IN LAW HAS TO PAY COURT FEE ON PETITION FOR MAINTENANCE AGAINST FATHER IN LAW.

Maintenance of daughter in law is not the liability of father in law. May her husband would have died, even she cannot claim any share out of the self acquired property of the father in law during the life time of the father in law, what to say of stamp duty. However after the death of father in law she would become eligible to claim share out of the property of her father in law on behalf of her deceased husband.
However, she cannot be denied right to live in her marital house, may that belong to her father in law.
