Fd documents and property documents lost

after my father's death my mom was in deep sorrow. taking advantage of all that someone nearest stolen FD and property original documents. how to proceed in such case?

Sir for property original documents should we give Public Notice or still we can wait for few more days? ( property papers are also mentioned in my query ) because as par my knowledge we can get certified copy of all documents from sub registrar office.
