Format for Police Compliant

Dear Sir,

I have lost my original property documents. I want to register a complaint with police station. Can you please guide / provide me with standard letter format or help in writing a letter to police on same.

There is no format for a police complaint. Address the complaint to the SHO/Incharge of the PS narrating the sequence of loss and when you came to know about it, give complete details of the papers lost and their description. You will have to lodge the complaint in the jurisdiction of the PS where you lost the papers.

It is very simple. Address your local police station incharge and write down all the facts and circumstances with your address and signature. Also write your cell no. thereon so that you may be got contacted in the matter at any time.
