format of Deed of Assignment

pl.let me know is there any specific format for Deed of Assignment to be executed in case of purchase of leasehold land from Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation.

You should ask the particular authority and enquire. Generally, it is there in any state IDC ecause it contains certain clauses specific to the terms e.g. a clause not to transfer further without previous permission of the authority in writing so it is not left upon he parties.

why there is a need of assignment. its shall be be lease for cetain period ot perpetual and the govt ha specific format for the same.
